I'll start with the news that you probably want to hear first.
We got 12 eggs!
The doc said that there was an egg in every single follicle...normally only about 70% yield an egg. He was very happy and so are we.
I feel disgusting. But pretty much all of it is due to anesthesia, not to the retrieval.
I'm almost too dizzy to be typing, but I've got to update my peeps!
We find out tomorrow how many eggs fertilized and then on Saturday whether we do a 3 day or 5 day transfer.
I'll tell the longer story later, but I am having massive waves of nausea (no puking yet) so I need to go lay down some more.
Love you all! Thanks for your support!
Congrats on your 12 eggs! That is great! I hope the good news keep coming. Take good care of you!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME news!!!! I hope that the rest makes you feel better, I'm so happy for you :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so happy for you. I was super nauseous and very bloated after my first retrieval. Try to snack on plain crackers and ginger (ginger ale, ginger candy, whatever you have). It can help.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever have to go under anesthesia again, make sure to let them know you get nauseous. They can give you something to combat it while you're still under. It helps.
Take care!
Sorry you're not feeling so great. Congrats on 12 eggs! That's a great number! Can't wait to hear the updates over the weekend! Get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids, hope you feel better soon.

ReplyDeleteGreat news, looking forward to the next update.
ReplyDeleteA perfect dozen! I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to hear your fert report! I felt vom-tastic after mine. It was from the anesthesia and the pain medicine. After my first dose of pain meds I just gave up and suffered through it. I'm sending you anti-vom vibes. ~~~~~ (Those squiggles are vibes.)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, feel better!
ReplyDeleteGREAT NEWS! I'm so happy & excited for you!
ReplyDeleteKeep resting and taking pain meds every 4 hours if you need them. I sure did! Great news on the 12 eggs!
